About

I created this Blog as a place to discuss everything wine related in the Southern California Wine Region, focusing on San Diego Wine Country. It’s a part of California steeped in wine history but long forgotten. There’s plenty written about Napa, Sonoma, the Central Coast, and even the Temecula Valley, a So-Cal hot spot for wine tourism. I’m going to focus on San Diego Winemaking, where the friars first planted the vines on California soil and the growing and changing San Diego Wine Country. It’s a fertile ground, primed and on the cusp of becoming a notable wine region. Along the way, I will highlight local wineries, wine bars, steals, deals and insider stuff I find along the way, with my own brand of humor thrown in for good measure. No uptight sommelier here. Just honest wine talk from a Wine Diva thats part of a hardworking winemaking family, living and breathing it every day. Wine is to be enjoyed, and friends, love and laughter and sometimes tears are all shared as the wine flows.

Having a unique persective on the winemaking families (yes we’re all one big happy family, think Moonstruck.) of San Diego, I’ll share a bit of everything… the wines, the history, the winemakers, the humor and the politics.  Please follow me on Twitter http://twitter.com/SoCalWineDiva and join the wine conversation.
